PokerRoom.com (No Longer Accepts US Players)

Launched in 1999 as a free online poker room, the site has provided real money play since August 2001. The site had a major upgrade in the summer of 2003 as the limit hold'em only games, where complemented with pot and no-limit, as well as Omaha and seven-card stud in both Hi and Hi-Lo variants. There is a ton of statistical information available, probably the most in the industry, ranging from statistical analysis of your starting hands to tests on a large database of other hands played at the site. PokerRoom also has a vibrant community at Pokah.com. The games are quite juicy. The most traffic can be found in the Texas hold'em and online poker tournament section. Get up to $100 deposit bonus! Get a 20% bonus on your first deposit! No bonus code is required. If you go to PokerRoom.com by clicking on a link or banner on this page, deposit money and play and you will earn the bonus.

PokerRoom.com has Chinese Poker

PokerRoom.com has Texas hold'em but who doesn't? At PokerRoom.com you will also find Chinese Poker.

Chinese poker is played between two to four players. The game is played for points, where each point is worth a set amount of money.

Each player gets thirteen cards to arrange into three hands, two five card hands and one three card hand. These hands are called the back, middle and front hand.

The hands will be compared against the corresponding hands of the other players. The objective is to arrange a set of hands that will beat the corresponding hands of the other players. There are often several possible ways to arrange the thirteen cards given to you and the only rules you have to follow are that the back hand must be of a higher value than the middle hand, and the middle hand must be higher than the front hand. The value of each hand is determined by standard poker rules. The front hand, with only three cards, cannot have a flush or straight.

Hand order: Back > Middle > Front.

After arranging all hands the players compare their hands to each other and the winner in each individual game receives a number of points, determined by how much they won.
